On July 30, 2009, an article in Australia’s Herald Sun cited a Church of Scientology spokesperson in Sidney (my emphasis):

[The Church of Scientology spokesperson] added that any claims that the Church of Scientology was holding Travolta to ransom with a secret dossier of embarrassing personal secrets were also false.

Confessions to ministers were recorded in a “highly abbreviated” script for record purposes only.

“Highly abbreviated”?

Let it be known that the rooms at the Church of Scientology’s Fort Harrison in Clearwater (FL) – where Scientologists can get the “world’s best auditing” – are fitted with hidden cameras and microphones. This was first reported by the Tampa Tribune on September 18, 1993, in an article titled “Scientologists concealing cameras while counseling” (transcript).
